What is the main cause of the Arab-Israeli conflict? Why is it considered part of the Cold War?

    It was caused after Israel declared independence on may 14 1948. It was considered a part of the cold war because it was a conflict that took support from the USA and Russia. The US supported Israel and Russia supported the Arabs.
