    Mehmed II "The Conqueror" was an Ottoman Sultan between 1451 and 1481. He took Constantinople (today is known as Istanbul) and provoked the decay of the Byzantine Empire.

    Suleiman I "The Magnificent" was Sultan of the Ottoman Empire from 1520 to 1566. During his reign, the Ottoman Empire expanded in such a way that he was considered "the Sultan of the world". His wife Roxelana, also known as Hurrem, went down in history for being the first woman to exert influence on the Ottoman Empire.
