What do you guys think about what is going on in the world right now?

Assuming this is a personal question, I think things could be a lot better. With all the violence going on, it's hard to have peace-of-mind while hearing about the stuff going on in the world. Not to mention how incredibly common it is to hear about depression, anxiety, suicide, drug abuse and the such. It's not just society that's having problems, I don't think the environment has ever been in a worse state than it is now. I never realized how awful smog levels could be until I saw photos from some cities in India. I wish we could invent a machine that could take in large quantities of carbon and convert into oxygen or anything that isn't harmful. To sum it up, the world's not in good shape. With technology and all, people are becoming less dependent on themselves and are beginning to take lives for granted.
