if India is next to china and is in the continent of Asia ... aren't they considered Asians? if they are they don't look like Asians?

    Yes. They are considered to be Asians. "Asian" doesn't have a defined look, even though everyone automatically thinks of Chinese or Japanese people. A large part of Russia is in Asia as well, which makes them Asian. Many people sort Asians into two groups of people- - those who descended from Asian ancestors and those who are simply born in a region that is located in Asia. Indian people would be considered the latter.
