    The correct answer is A. A law that violates the Constitution must be overturned.

    Any law that contradicts or violates what is said in the constitution has to be repealed and the supreme court has this role as it's paramount role in the entire checks and balances system. This is a part of their judicial review and they have to examine the constitutionality of any law that is introduced and this has happened on numerous occasions.
