    The trade at the time of Tang was improved in agriculture, the new roads, and the waterways that were built. The silk road during the time of Tang was controlled by the Chinese reform and civil exam system.

    Farming also improved during the time of the Tang dynasty because of the countryside. The countryside was at peace at that time. Good quality of rice was developed during that time. Tang has given more fertilized lands to the farmer so they can grow more and more food.
