This was the Industrial Workers of the World. They were formed in 1905 in Chicago as a way of joining labor workers who were opposed to the idea of capitalism and the refusal of the AFL to include unskilled workers in their craft unions. The IWW were seen as a radical organization and prone to much prosecution by leaders who were not amenable to the claims and demands that the members of the IWW were seeking.
