What lead to the decline of Ghana was frequent attacks, and cut off from international trade. This lead to the kingdom being very vulnerable and unable to prevent its defeat. In about 1240 B. C Ghana was conquered. Another reason Ghana feel was because of the droughts it suffered after it's attacks forcing people to leave the kingdom in search of food and water.
