The Luftwaffe (Germany's air force) should have won the Battle of Britain. It failed not because of poor equipment or lack of storage for the men involved. The battle was lost through flawed strategic thinking and the lack of a consistent aim and plan of attack.

The Germans lost the Battle of Britain because they failed to win it. The two sides were fighting to different standards. The invading Germans had to win the Battle of Britain. As the defenders, the British simply had to not loose it.
