Explanation: The US hostage crisis i Iran was one of the longest hostage crisis in the history. After Shah fled to US for treatment a group of student obedient to Imam Khomeini stormed the US embassy in Iran. However Ayatollah Khomeini did not order the attack directly but his involvement was clear when his government used the Americans hostages to prevent the US from trying to bring back Shah. Because Khomeini told in the release condition that US should promise about not interfering about the internal issues of Iran. He also told to give back shah as his government wanted to put him on trial for his crime.
