Do you think that monroe doctrine was justified? why or why not?

Based on the perspective of newly independent Latin Countries it would be justifiable because it gave them hope of a powerful nation that will aid them if a European would to colonize or retake them back in their fold. It also a way to prevent major powerful nations to take advantage of newly created ones especially in the new world.
