A is the correct answer. Ur became part of the the Akkadian Empire, founded by Sargon of Akkad, roughly around the 23rd century BC. Sargon was one of several Semite rulers, and these rulers first conquered Nippur in the 3rd millenium BC. Ur and Nippur are located in modern day Iraq.
