    En 1923-24, el ministro de finanzas de Obregón, Adolfo de la Huerta, lanzó una rebelión, en parte para protestar contra el Tratado de Bucareli; Obregón regresó al campo de batalla para aplastar la rebelión. En su victoria, Estados Unidos lo ayudó con armas y 17 aviones estadounidenses que bombardearon a los partidarios de De la Huerta.
