    Because as the Pope's power decreased, several religious branches resulted from the Catholic Church and thus, religious diversity was created. Some of them were Anglicanism, Lutheranism, Calvinism and Anabaptism. Several leaders began to choose one religion for their kingdom as they realized that the Catholic Church had been corrupt and decreased in power.
