The Zhou dynasty is the dynasty that has ruled over China for the longest period, approximately 800 years. This dynasty had the economy mostly based around the agriculture, and it was trying to improve the increase the agricultural production. Also, this dynasty contributed greatly to the trade of the agricultural goods. The two main ways in which the Zhou managed to improve the trade was by building numerous roads and canals. With the building of roads and canals, the people were able to move their products much more easily, quickly, more safely, in larger quantities, and over larger distances, making a trading boom.
