    Lost power and became a regular citizen

    In the wake of the February Revolution in Russia, Nicholas II lost power and became a regular citizen.

    Explanation;

    In Russia, the February revolution began when riots and strikes over the scarcity of food erupt in Petrograd.

    Most Russians had lost faith in leadership ability of the Czarist regime.

    Corruption was rampant, the economy remained backward and Czar Nicholas II had repeatedly dissolved the Dumas, the Russian parliamentary groups established to placate the masses after Revolution of 1905, each time they opposed his will.
