Do you believe the Russian provisional government would have been successful? why?

Yes if they discontinue the war immediately and reform the social structure immediately before the communists take the power from the provisional government. But based on history it would not because the actions they've done didn't alleviate the suffering of the people and it add more discontent to the government.
