    Chesapeake leopard affair was a "naval engagement" that occurred at the "coast of Norfolk Virginia", on Monday June 22 1807 between HMS leopard British warship and USS Chesapeake, the american warship. British attacked the 'USS Chesapeake' and removed american sailors when British commander requested 'permission to search the ship', the american commandore refused to muster his crew for inspection. They were threatened by Barbary states of north Africa because of robbery at sea.
