Women, working class, and middle class were all sheltered under this broad progressive umbrella and the reforming mood was brought about by the idea that corporations and industries were taking advantage of the lower classes and there was a lot of corruption and greed. It was an era that was pro-labor and that supported prohibition.

    Explanation:

The progressive era usually refers to the turn of the twentieth century and the presidency of Theodore Roosevelt. He made many advances on consumer protection and conservation. He also sought checks on the corporations and trusts from gaining too much power. There was a general feeling that the modern era was bringing on some abuses of the middle class and working class and Progressives supported controls like worker compensation, and improved child labor laws. The progressive era also brought about the right to vote for women. It was a dominant majority mood in he sense it was the middle class and workers who were challenging big companies and trusts and the powerful who were seen as political corrupt.
