    The Berlin Conference, also known as West Africa Conference or Congo Conference, was held in Berlin from November 15, 1884 to February 26, 1885, marking the European collaboration in the partition and territorial division of Africa.

    As a result of the conference, Britain began to administer all of Southern Africa (with the exception of the Portuguese colonies of Angola and Mozambique) and South West Africa, all of East Africa (with the exception of Tanganyika) and shared the west and north coasts Africa, France, Spain and Portugal (Guinea-Bissau and Cape Verde); Although among the last 3 countries, France had the vast majority of the land given to them.
