Which events brought the U. S. into WW1? When did the U. S. join the war, and which side did it support?

    The sinking of the Lusitania was one such event along with the general German use of undersea boats (U-Boats) They joined the Allies in April 1917, after ~3 years of struggling to stay neutral.

    I don't remember why they joined the war, but They joined on April 6th, 1917. They Fought With the Allies, Which had Britain, France, And Russia.
