How did authoritarian governments emerge in the different countries of spain, germany, & italy?

Authoritarian governments emerged during great turmoil or economic and social downfall of a nation. The need of great powerful leader would also makes the people look up to such authoritarian leaders that displays powerful charisma and authority that would make them believe that a great change would come under the rule of such people.
