    Andrew Jackson demonstrated a disregard for the constitution when usurped Congress' power to declare war by declaring war on the Cherokee Indians. As a result, he broke a treaty between the Cherokee Nation and the United States. This was also a violation of his oath of office to defend the Constitution.
