Why is modern Texas culturally similar to the American south even though it is located in the southwest?

    It's because People Migrating from the American South settle together and a maintained their traditions.

    As the American south settled in Texas, a cultural diffusion happen between the original texas culture and the South American culture, which lead to many similarities that exist in present-day Texas.
