Battle of Yorktown is the major event which made the British General Cornwallis to surrender his troops in Yorktown of Virginia.

America under the leadership of George Washington emerged victorious because of strong partnership with Spain and France. British Causalities was twice as that of Americans which is considered the last battle between America and Britain.

Britain thought that they had the authority to levy taxes on the colonists as it won a war against France which was trying to express dominance over America. But unfortunately, France joined as an ally with America.

These heavy taxes on the colonists without being represented in the parliament angered the colonists and made America stronger by joining hands with France and Spain. Under the combined Forces of America, General Lord Cornwallis surrendered York town.
