The Jazz Age, also known as the "The Roaring Twenties" took place in the Great Gatsby during the 1920s. It was a period after World War I 1 where new types of music, dance, and literature started to conquer over the United States. This decade has brought amusement, a sense of freedom, and entertainment to the country after the darkness of The Great War. A cultural movement where women got to express themselves freely and in a different type of way. Where the youth of that time were considered to have "lost their morals".

    Young women's attire drastically changed in a way that was often frowned upon by the elders. Women went to night clubs, wore make-up and fancy dresses, and shortened their hair. These were all uncommon things which led to accusations against their morals.
