    The answer to this question is: Until 1996, It had been thought that James Fort had been built on the swampy edge of the James River

    As it turned out, James Fort is located on South Dakota, Near Mitchell. This fort was originally built in 1865 by the soldiers that were sent the order to protect settlers from potential attacks from the natives near that location.
