    C. They both wanted to expand their empires by conquering neighboring countries. After losing the World War I, Germany sought more countries to conquer for building a larger Germany nation and to support the growing populations of the Germans. Similar to this, Japan invaded countries to support the Japanese population by taking raw materials from the countries they invaded.
