    Even if slavery played an important role in the construction of the Roman Empire, if we consider this practice in the long term it is very unproductive, because most parts of the slaves were performing tasks that were boring, disrespectful, humiliating or dangerous for the common citizens. However, these tasks were simple and didn't have a huge impact if they were taken out.
