    Spanish and Portuguese Christians united to drive Muslims out of the Iberian Peninsula in the 1400s.

    When King Ferdinand of Aragon and Queen Isabella I of Castile married in 1469, Spain was united and they united their forces to take Granada back in 1492, which resulted to the end of the Reconquista.
