At the start of the Great Depression, Hoover used Lessaiz-Faire economics, in which he believes that the public will take care of their economic problems. However, this was not the case. So many people suffered because of this, and many people were displaced and forced to build their own homes, creating villages known as Hoovervilles, to mock him. On the other hand FDR made the world a better place again. He did the "New Deal," a bunch of work programs to make parks, rebuild land, e. t. c. These projects would make many jobs for the people, making him extremely popular.
