Art and architecture had two main reasons for existing in early cultures. First, they were used as a way to tell stories about the culture and those around them. Second, the drawings and buildings were used as ways to show off the religious beliefs of the people at the time, and third, buildings could be seen as a form of power, showing off the strength of a culture and its people.
