In addition, those writers and works emulate a common model and/or they share a similar way of looking at the world and of thinking about the role literature plays in that world, and they coincide in the same space and in the same period of time.

Literary movements are also known as genres, styles or currents. Examples of literary movements are Classicism, Modernism and Realism, to name a few.
