    The 1828 election was regarded as one of the dirtiest election in American History.

    In order to gain support from the people, Jackson threw out a lot of accusations toward John Quincy Adams (his opponent). For example, Jackson Accused Adams that he used his government influence in order to run prostitution business. He also accused people that are closed to adams as corrupt people who has strong ties to Russia.

    Jackson's tactic was successful. He managed to won the election with a 56% votes.
