The Sun rotates on an axis that has a maximum inclination of about 7 degrees with respect to the plane in which the Earth orbits, and we also know that the Sun, which is not a rigid solid, rotates differentially, that is, rotates faster in the equator than in the poles, so that, while in the equator it takes about 26 days to take a full turn, near the poles it takes more than 30 days. This differential rotation of the Sun plays a very important role in the life of our star since, together with convection, it is responsible for the generation and maintenance of the solar magnetic field according to current theories.
