Describe how industrialization differed in japan

Japanese industrialization was not spontaneous or related to free market investments like it happened in Europe. The Japanese government willfully industrialized with careful planning. They also bought much of the ideas which they used to industrialize and improve for their own needs, they didn't just randomly invent something useful.
