    The geographical location that dominates the northern third of the continent of Africa is desert. To be more exact, it is the Sahara desert. Its area is about 9,2 km2 and it covers about 10 countries: Algeria, Chad, Egypt, Libya, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Western Sahara, Sudan and Tunisia. It is the largest hot desert in the world.
