How did John F. Kennedy's approach to the Cold War differ from Eisenhower's and Truman's?

It is different because john f kennedy was prepared to use force as at the bay of pigs, but he preferred negotiation during the cuban crisis. he built up the strength of the united states which he claimed that eisenhower had rejected or neglected. but like truman he used economic acid as a weapon in the cold war.
