Jefferson served as President from 1801-1809. He came to fame as one of the original founding fathers and the primary author of the Declaration of Independence.

After the Declaration, Jefferson became active in the Anti-Federalist movement, served as Secretary of State, and ran against John Adams to become the third-President. Jefferson also became involved in French Revolutionary Politics.
