    While the Union want to reunite the country, Confederacy wants to incorporate all slave states and seceded from the Union. Union has to use advance military statics because they have to bring the Confederacy states back on the hand Confederacy acted defensively. Confederacy was dependent on the trade with Foreign nations for their war goods but industrial North was capable of it.
