    Germany, Italy, and Japan were the Axis forces during WW II. Operation Sea lion or Sea Lion was Germany's plan to invade the British during the battle that held in British in WW II. Soviet Union, France, and England were the Allied powers. Following France's fall, Hitler thought that England would make peace with them.

    So he wanted to invade England since their other options to make peace were failed. But Operation Sea Lion became a major failure. Also, it, in turn, led to another operation called Operation Barbarossa. It is a code for axis power to invade the Soviet Union during WW II. They wanted to conquer the western Soviet so it can be repopulated by the Germans.
