Indigenous people in the Americas had never eaten pork or beef before contact with European explorers. What do you think are the reasons why they don't eat meat before they met the European explorers?

    There were many reasons. Some of the domesticated animals found in Europe that were common food could not even be found in the Americas as they were accustomed to different species. Some Native American tribes did not eat meat due to religious reasons or only ate them during religious ceremonies. It was not common practice for them to open a butcher's shop and kill buffaloes in advance and eat them.
