The Russian revolution and Treaty of Litovsk granted the Germans an earned victory resulting in Russia leaving the war and breaking all terms with the Allied Powers.

The Brest Litovsk Treaty was signed between the new government of the Bolsheviks and the central authorities resulted in the end of the participation of Russia in the war. With the adoption of this treaty, the Entente ceased to exist resulting in a German success in the former Russian territory resulting in an apparent win of the German forces.
