How does the Declaration of independence echo the ideas of John locke

    John Locke believed in a system of checks and balances and a separation of powers in government, ideas present in the Declaration. Additionally, John Locke believed that people had a right to overthrow their government when it wasn't working out for them; which is the basic concept of the Declaration
