    Germany first was a part of the grand strategy devised by the US and the UK during the second world war. They planned to use most of their resources against Nazi Germany and focus on European issues rather than East Asia. They wanted to use fewer resources against Japan. Germany was considered to be the greatest threat for the UK and defeating it was the utmost priority of the UK. It was also decided that once Germany was defeated Allied forces would be used against Japan. The strategy was affirmed at the Arcadia Conference of 1941. As compared to the UK, the US spent more resources on this strategy.
