    Causes of the war of 1812, also known as "Second War of Independence" were the trade restrictions imposed by the British Government to the United States of America, as to impede America's trade with France; also, the British navy was attacking United States ships to force the sailors to join the Royal Navy. Effects were that, after a stalemate, peace was reached bringing a long period of peace between the two nations.
