William Edward Burghardt DuBois in the text "Of the Dawn of Freedom" analyzes the Freedmen's Bureau, his correct statement about it is option C. The South accepted it and embraced it as a lesser evil to them than ending segregation.

"The greatest success of the Freedmen's Bureau lay in the planting of the free school among Negroes, and the idea of free elementary education among all classes in the South". Yet there was still segregation.

    A. It did not result in any significant benefit to African Americans. this option is not true because many African had benefit as receiving social welfare, health or education.

    B. It was fairly and consistently administered and not prone to fraud or abuse. This is not true because many official from the Bureau would abuse their power and be corrupt taking and some even got involved in contrabands.

    D. While it was fairly successful in spite of its problems, its premature abolition limited its overall effectiveness. The Bureau was not so successful and had limited effectiveness not because it was premature but because of funding and white people resistance, so it failed to enforce the Freedmen policy for racial equality.
