In 1787, thomas jefferson wrote: "the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. it is its natural manure." compare this quote with article 10 the right to revolution in the new hampshire constitution. why did the founders have such a belief in revolution?

    Founders have such a belief in revolution because they have already revolted against their colonizers and were successful in claiming their freedom from these colonizers.

    Revolts are staged when the people are against the machinations of the current government. Each government are tasked to protect the rights and freedom of all its citizens and if the government itself is the one who violates the rights and freedom of the people, the population will stage an uprising to put a stop to these abuses and change the people who holds these powers to govern.
