    Answer: The Battle of Baltimore occurred in 1814, after the British burned Washington.

    The objective of the battle was put the port of Baltimore out of business, with the associated raiders. The Fort McHenry, was also a land battle.

    The British came about 2 miles before being stopped. They were unable to control the water, the land force had to withdraw. It was a major defeat for the British and turned the tide of the war.
