Question: In what ways has Europe benefited from its long coastline?

Answer: Europe has a long and sharp coastline. It is known for carving out bays, embracing peninsulas carving out gulfs and even channels. Its coastline has benefited Europe in many ways. It has benefited the following industries: The continent's investing and banking industries, mining industries, agriculture, technology and manufacturing industries. However, due to its geography, Europe's long coastline and its navigable rivers have beneficiated the fishing and shipping industries far more than any other industry. When it comes to this industry, Europe's geography and very long coastline is always taken into account and seen as a huge advantage. This has made the European Union highly dependent on the Shipping Industry.
